Forty-four patients were fit with N & N Menicon Soft Contact Lenses for future approval of the lenses by the Food and Drug Administration. Eighteen patients utilized chemical sterilization (Burton Parsons Flexol) and nineteen used heat (Meniconilizer). Seven patients were released from the study for personal reasons. No patients were discontinued from lens wear due to objective or subjective symptoms. Twenty patients were monitored and decreases in tear pH, tear flow, and tear break up time were noted at the end of six months wear.
