background and object : Breast cancer, as the most common cancer in women, has the highest rate of death from cancer in women. More than 7 million people in the world are now diagnosed with breast cancer and are expected to reach 15-20 million by 2020. Adherence to the diet will lead to increased survival, reduced treatment costs, and reduced relapses. Roger's motivation theory is one of the most important theories of health psychology to explain the effects of fear on attitudes and health behaviors, which aims to explain the cognitive mediation process of changing behavior in terms of threat assessment. The purpose of this study was to determine the coherence of the use of hormonal drugs based on the theory of protection motivation Methods: Patients with breast cancer registered at the Cancer Registry, who are being treated with hormonal medications, were studied. The instrument for measuring behavior and drug use was used by the patient using a protective motivation theory. The Morisky scale was used to measure adherence to the inhibitor of Aromatase. The data was collected through a questionnaire based on the design of the model and then determined by Cronbach's alpha. In the analysis scale, variance, Pearson correlation and multiple regression were used. Results: In this study, 63 patients with breast cancer were identified. 30.3% of the subjects were younger than 40 years of age, 49.5% were between the ages of 40 and 49, and the rest were between 50 and 59 years of age. 47. and the rest were single. Of those surveyed, 44.5% of the annual income was below 35 million, and the rest had higher incomes. In the present study, the highest correlation was found between the degree of continuity with treatment and PMT size. The ADJ.R2 value indicates that these 5 variables predict 46 percent of the variance. Self-efficacy variable (P = 0.001) predicts significant association conclusion :According to the results, the theory of conservation motivation is an appropriate tool for designing and implementing educational interventions. Also, self-efficacy was one of the strongest structures in the protection motive. Therefore, the use of this framework is recommended for similar studie
