Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 y los ejercicios en plataformas vibratorias: revisión bibliográfica sistemática

[EN] Introduction: The diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by hav-ing a high prevalence in population over 50 years old. It is associated with a negative impact in the quality of life related to the health and a high socio-economic cost. The data reported by the study of di@betes.es show that the 13,8 % of Spain’s population over the age of 18 have type II diabetes. This is equivalent to 5.3 million of people ap-proximately, who almost 3 million was diagnosed but 2.3 million (43 % of the total) did not know that they suffered the disease. (1) It is important take account that many people ignore that they have diabetes. This produce medical complications in half of the cases due to the delay until they discover the disease. This is very serious if we keep in mind that the treatment is more effective at an early stage and that the diabetes affects important organs like kidneys, eyes, hearth or nervous system. Finding solutions which help to improve the quality of life related with the health of peo-ple affected by the type II diabetes mellitus, could help hold the high socio-economic impact. It is therefore, this bibliographic review try to show that if the vibratory exercises are applied in a safe and effectively way to treat the type II diabetes mellitus it can be obtained a better control and manage of the different factors associated to the disease. Objectives: Affording and comparing the existent information about the physical exercises carried out in vibratory platforms, in diagnosed patients with type II diabetes mellitus. Methods and Materials: Different books and scientific journal of portals like MEDLINE, LILACS, Portal Regional de BVS, Cochrane CENTRAL, CINAHL, Maturitas journal and doctoral thesis have been used to carry out this report. Conclusions: The sugar profile get better and the level of the glycosylated haemoglobin go down if the patient who has type II diabetes mellitus does exercises in vibratory plat-forms for 12 weeks. So then, this exercises can be an alternative of the current aerobic exercises.Introducción: La diabetes mellitus es una enfermedad metabólica crónica, caracterizada por tener una alta prevalencia en la población adulta mayor, lo que se asocia a un impacto negativo en la calidad de vida relacionada con la salud y a un alto coste socio-económico. Los datos aportados por el estudio de di@betes.es, demuestran que el 13,8% de los españoles mayores de 18 años tiene diabetes tipo II, lo que equivale a más de 5,3 millones de personas. De ellos, casi 3 millones ya estaban diagnosticados pero 2,3 millones, el 43% del total, desconocían que padecían la enfermedad. (1) Es muy importante destacar el gran número de personas que desconocen que presentan diabetes. El retraso en descubrirla implica que cuando se diagnostica la enfermedad el 50% presenta alguna complicación. Esto es grave si tenemos en cuenta que el tratamiento de las complicaciones es tanto más eficaz cuanto más precoz y que la diabetes afecta a órganos tan importantes como los riñones, la vista, el corazón o el sistema nervioso. Encontrar soluciones que ayuden a mejorar la calidad de vida relacionada con la salud en las personas afectadas por diabetes mellitus tipo II podría ayudar a contener este altísimo impacto socio-económico. Es por ello, que la presente revisión bibliográfica se lleva a cabo con el fin de demostrar que, los ejercicios vibratorios, aplicado de forma segura y efectiva en el tratamiento de la diabetes mellitus tipo II ayuda en el control y manejo de diferentes factores asociados a la enfermedad. Objetivos: Mostrar y comparar la información existente sobre el ejercicios físico llevado a cabo en plataformas vibratorias, en paciente diagnosticados de diabetes mellitus tipo II. Material y métodos: Para la realización de este informe se utilizaron libros y revistas científicas de los diferentes portales existentes como MEDLINE (pubMed), LILACS, Portal Regional de BVS, Registro Cochrane Central de Ensayos Controlados (Cochrane CENTRAL), CINAHL, revista Maturitas y tesis doctorales. Conclusión: Los ejercicios en plataformas vibratorias durante un periodo de 12 semanas de entrenamiento, mejoran el perfil glucémico y descienden los niveles de hemoglobina glicosilada, pudiendo llegar a ser utilizados como sustitutos de los ejercicios aeróbicos
