Since the civil war began in Syria, millions of refugees have fled their country. A little over 1,500 refugees have been resettled in Texas. The Kaabors are one such family who left their home on a cold night in 2013 and two years later made their way to Austin, Texas. The Kaabor family serves as a window to illustrate the many challenges refugees from Syria face and how American cities are responding to the arrival of refugees.Journalis
