AbstractWhile the business straightens out the kinks in upward progress, companies are ganging up to be ready for the next big thing in RF - modules. Appropriately, RFMD was one of the first MMIC companies to commit serious capital to RF modules - as opposed to being an MMIC-only apecialist. Initially, RFMD chose the route of developing the technology in-house but has now formed an RFIC alliance with Agere Systems. Now it seems everyone is ganging up to make the most of this big opportunity to ‘add value’ to their MMIC business
