FORMING A CHILD’S PERSONALITY AT EARLY SCHOOL AGE WHILE PLAYING

Folk games have century-old history. They are very various because they represent the different spheres of human material and spiritual work. Every person passes folk games from a generation to a generation, in such a way people play and entertain themselves, cognize the surrounding world, perfect the capabilities, seize many spheres of human activity. A game is used as a means of education by many peoples. Along with other activities it provides the transmission of the social experience accumulated by people from one generation to the other, providing a personality’s development. In pedagogical and psychological literature an issue of game theory is worked out in works by N. Krupska and A. Makarenko. The game, as one of ponderable aids in educating a growing generation, meeting “at the round table”, was defined by O. Savchenko, L. Balym, A. Zaika, I. Martyniuk, V. Kyrychok, Ye. Pomytkin, O. Rysenko, V. Knysh, A. Tiutiunnykov and others. Nobody is interested in games of children’s maintenance neither in family nor at school. As a child expresses his/her impressions from surrounding life in games – both positive and negative ones, these games should be analysed: they depict positive or negative influence on children, but do not become the means of education. A game fulfills the educating task only when it is purposefully applied in the single system, when it is managed. Further perfection of primary schoolchildren’s playing activity is related to the valuable use in the pedagogical process of all game types as an important means of education. The ability to see and understand the schoolchildren’s games does not arise up on itself. It is produced gradually in the process of attentive daily supervisions on maintaining games, on children’s behavior in them and is one of main terms necessary for education. Watching games help the teacher understand children, influence on their behavior, on forming character traits. Knowing pupils’ features gives an opportunity to the teacher to make up managing games, so they become the effective means of education
