Given the situation of environmental degradation on a global level, this article provides a related study between environmentalism and the new Latin American constitutionalism. This academic work is the result of documentary research utilizing the Discourse Theory approach, and in which the new paradigms of the Rights of Nature implied in the Constitution of Ecuador are analyzed specifically comparing the constitutional articles that are related to environmental issues.
