Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) affects individuals that have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event and it affects approximately 7-8 % of the general population. Even more alarming is the PTSD prevalence in military personal throughout the world, with the PTSD prevalence in US combat veterans ranging from 6 to 31%.
