The title of the article was provoked by a round anniversary of the Polish television, namely 60 years of its formation celebrated in 2012. The author claims that the identity of the Polish television as a medium gave identity to several people. The article treats about these names, functions in the media, and a peculiar language from the perspective of a linguist‑communicologist. What is connected with television development is the role of a speaker who is an integral part of the television performance, and an every‑day trailer of television attractions.
