The author claims that the care for the cultural identity should be the function of art in the context of the changing reality and globalization. The standards of conduct preferring the changeability and the technologies of recording becoming out‑ dated generate the dangers leading to the loss of the continuity of culture. The introduction of new standards in art should include relation (even negative) to the cultural heritage of a certain place. A model of new layers, not changes is preferred.
