This paper deals with the performance prediction of hybrid OpenMP/MPI code. After a brief overview of the HeSSE simulation environment, the problem of the tracing and of the simulation of an OpenMP/MPI application is dealt with. A parallel N-body code is presented as case study, and its predicted performance is compared to the results measured in a real cluster environment
