Connection between officer's secure orientation and motivation and their impact on studies.

It also deals with the view of employees of these institutions towards the preventive work, as well as their motivation for such activity. The essence of the described problem lies in the fact that secondary education schools, Safe traffic school and Highway police services, which all carry out the preventive work, cannot guarantee impact of the organized preventive actions, competitions and events on ensuring safe traffic. Their work is invisible, as they do not succeed in decreasing cases of accidents and traumatism. The method of this work is based on questionnaire–type research on different social groups, such as pupils of primary schools, teachers responsible for safe traffic, residents of the city and the police officers. The paper also refers to the analysis of the basic activity plans prepared by the Highway Police of Kaunas City Chief Police Commissariat.Straipsnyje nagrinėjamas policijos pareigūnų vertybinių orientacijų motyvuojantis vaidmuo jų veiklai ir studijoms. Palyginus pareigūnų veiklos vertybinius prioritetus su Lietuvos gyventojų įvairių socialinių grupių vertybinėmis nuostatomis daroma išvada, kad policininkų vertybių reikšmingumo tendencijos yra identiškos visuomenėje vykstantiems vertybių kaitos procesams. Todėl tikslinga, atsižvelgiant į pareigūnų vertybinių orientacijų ypatumus, atitinkamai organizuoti policijos pareigūnų rengimą ir sudaryti sąlygas įgyti išsilavinimą bei kelti kvalifikaciją. Straipsnyje laikomasi nuomonės, kad šiuo metu vidaus reikalų sistemos vadovų vykdomoje policijos pareigūnų rengimo, motyvavimo politikoje nepakankamai atsispindi policijos pareigūnų veiklos vertybių reikšmingumo tendencijos.
