Denne artikkelen prøver å vise at det er tverrspråklig innflytelse som er årsaken til feil gjort av polskspråklige innlærere av norsk som andrespråk (L2) i bruk av norske tempora: perfektum og preteritum. Feilene ser ut til å være karakteristiske bare for de polskspråklige L2 brukerne av norsk og ikke nødvendigvis av andre fremmedspråklige (i det minste engelsk- og tyskspråklige) brukere av språket. I artikkelen nevnes det også noen faktorer som påvirker forekomsten av transfer.
