In 1997, Akita Prefectural Government conducted a deep seismic reflection experiment to investigate an active fault zone developed along the eastern boundary of the Yokote Basin. We deployed additional thirty-six temporal seismic stations to record five dynamite shots for this experiment for the purpose of a refraction/wide-angle reflection crustal study. Our data provide important constraints on the velocity structure including lateral heterogeneity due to the fault system. This paper outlines our observations together with travel-times and record sections
