Although there are differences in classification of adjectives between the Chinese and the Japanese languages, commonalities can be found too. For example, in both languages, adjectives can be used as a predicate; have the same word order, the same function in cases such as noun attributive-modifier, and circonstants. However, it could be said that there are some easy places, such as differences in tenses, and syntaxes in which Chinese native speakers tend to make mistakes while studying Japanese. The similarities and differences of the adjectives in the Chinese and Japanese languages were examined, to suggest new explanations to this problem
