Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a global public health problem and it is gaining importance due to the rapid increase in its prevalence worldwide. House dust mites as Dermatophagoides spp. are the major sources of allergen sensitization in genetically predisposed subjects. This study aimed to evaluate serum and salivary IgA, IgE and IgG4 levels to Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Dpt) and its major allergens (Der p 1 and Der p 2) in allergic and non-allergic children and teenager.
