The teaching of mathematics for the deaf: Dealing with Educational and communicative barriers.

This research essay had as one of the objectives to investigate the scenario of Educational Inclusion of deaf students in the regular classes of Mathematics in a school of the state education network. The production of the data for analysis was performed by a retrospect in the current laws focused on Special Education and elaboration of questionnaires and an interview. The interview had the presence of the researcher in formation, in order to guide the participants who were elected for being considered main involved in the process of School Inclusion, these being the Teacher (listener), the Interpreter of Libras (listener) and the Student (deaf). It was observed the presence or not of teaching methodologies that aided the deaf student when faced with the need to relate Mathematical concepts. The understanding of these concepts was analyzed observing the fullness of the visual interpretations of the student and a significant recognition of their learning processes. The analysis took into account the possibility of categorization of Mathematical elements that the Brazilian Sign Language can offer as a propulsive, directing to the proposal of creating a "dictionary" that translates the Mathematical Language into the Libras.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação)Este ensaio de pesquisa teve como um dos objetivos investigar o cenário de Inclusão Educacional de alunos surdos nas aulas regulares de Matemática em uma escola da rede estadual de ensino. A produção dos dados para análise foi realizada por meio de retrospecto nas leis vigentes voltadas para a Educação Especial e elaboração de questionários e uma entrevista que contaram com a presença do pesquisador em formação, no intuito de nortear os participantes que foram eleitos por serem considerados principais envolvidos no processo de Inclusão Escola, sendo estes o Professor (ouvinte), o Intérprete de Libras (ouvinte) e o Aluno (surdo). Observou-se a presença ou não de metodologias de ensino que auxiliaram o aluno surdo ao se deparar com a necessidade de relacionar conceitos Matemáticos. A compreensão destes conceitos foi analisada observando a plenitude das interpretações visuais do aluno e de um significativo reconhecimento de seus processos de aprendizagem. A análise levou em conta a possibilidade de submissão de categorização de elementos Matemáticos que a Língua Brasileira de Sinais pode oferecer como propulsora, direcionando à proposta de criação de um “dicionário” que traduza a Linguagem Matemática para a Libras
