KOMUNIKASI PERSUASIF DALAM MEMBANGKITKAN MOTIVASI ORANG DENGAN HIV AIDS (Studi Deskriptif Kualitatif Pendukung Sebaya di Yayasan Victory Plus Yogyakarta)

This research aims to find out how persuasive communication conducted by Pendukung Sebaya at Victory Plus Yogyakarta Foundation in generating motivation people with HIV AIDS. This is because, when people with HIV AIDS know the status that they are HIV positive, their motivation tends to weaken. Therefore, through a persuasive communication approach can be one way to re-generate the motivation of people with HIV AIDS. This research desribes persuasive communication performed by Pendukung Sebaya at Victory Plus Yogyakarta Foundation when generating motivation for people with HIV AIDS so that they will be able to be confident, open and survive. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The source data obtained from in-depth interviews, observation and documentation, while to test the validity of data using the source triangulation method. The result of this research indicate that Pendukung Sebaya at Victory Plus Yogyakarta Foundation use the persuasive communication techniques in evoking the motivation of people with HIV AIDS. There are: Teknik Asosiasi, Integrasi, Tataan, Ganjaran, and Red-Hirring. According to the result of this research, Pendukung Sebaya use 5 techniques of persuasive communication in generating the motivation of people with HIV AIDS.
