Viele Feinchemikalien können durch asymmetrische Biosynthesen gewonnen werden. Dabei bieten ganze Zellen als Biokatalysatoren den Vorteil, dass sie die dazu benötigten Coenzyme NAD(H) oder NADP(H) bereits enthalten. Jedoch wird bei der Ganzzell-Biokatalyse oftmals festgestellt, dass die zellinterne Coenzym-Konzentration während der Reaktion zu gering ist und damit nur eine geringe Halbwertszeit des Biokatalysators erreicht wird. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit sollten daher am Beispiel einer rekombinanten Saccharomyces cerevisiae Hefe Strategien zur Herstellung Coenzym-angereicherter Ganzzell-Biokatalysatoren entwickelt werden.
