La descripción de documentos cartográficos: estado de la cuestión

In this text we have tried to reflect the criteria currently used by archivists to describe Spanish cartographic documents preserved in their centers. The catalogs of maps, plans, sketches or drawings, published in recent years, maintaining disparate structures and contents having been carried out under different models. Neither the ISAD (G), or ISBD (CM) appear to respond to the specific problems identified in the description of these documents. And the working groups established in Spain for its implementation and development have not made significant progress in the standardization specification
