This article focuses on the pre-war image of Drohobycz in Atlantyda and Ziemia księżycowa by Andrzej Chciuk. On account of multicultural borderland town, the concept of work is an attempt to answer the question: how the ethnic, religious and cultural elements function in the dilogy. The mechanism of creating the distinctiveness between Polish, Jewish and Ukrainian community is the crucial issue in the dilogy. This mechanism forms the coherent whole in the memorial prose by Andrzej Chciuk.
