Physical condition of the lizard Anolis cupreus (Squamata: Dactyloidae) and its relation to the habitat structure during dry season

In this study it was evaluated whether physical condition of a lizard is influenced by the structure of arboreal habitat used in foraging behavior during the dry season in a population of Palo Verde, Costa Rica. Although males were larger in size and weight, females had higher body condition. Habitat structure as well as differences in foraging behavior apparently determined these differences in the lizard.En este estudio evalué si la condición física de una lagartija está influenciada por la estructura del hábitat arbóreo utilizado en la conducta de forrajeo durante la estación seca en una población de Palo Verde, Costa Rica. Aunque los machos son más largos y pesados, las hembras tuvieron mayor condición física. La estructura del hábitat así como las diferencias en la conducta de forrajeo aparentemente determinan tales diferencias.Asociación Herpetológica Argentin
