PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA KOMIK MATEMATIKA MATERI DEBIT PADA SISWA KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

Based on the need analysis conducted on 14-15 November 2017 at SDN Torongrejo 01 Batu and SDN Sumbersari 1 Malang, the resultshow that in the schools have difficulties in the learning process of mathematics lesson on debitmaterial.This happens because thelack of learningmedia being used in the class.So that the schools need a media which can help students to understand and complete the questions about debit.This researcher aims to: (1) Produce amediadevelopmentproduct of mathematicscomic on debit material for grade V students of Elementary School, and(2) Describe the user response toward the mediadevelopment product of mathematicscomic on debit material for grade V students of Elementary School. The researcher used ADDIE development model which consists of five stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation.This research was conductedin March 2018 at SDN Torongrejo 01 Batu with 30 students andSDN Sumbersari 1 Malang with 24 students. Thedata were collected through observation, interview, questionnaire, test, and documentation. Meanwhile, the data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The results of this research show that: (1) Themathematics comic media can be tested without any revision afterbeing developed through validation of media expert and materials expert. It is representedthrough the percentage result of media expert which is 99% and the percentage of material expert validation which is 96%.At he implementation phase of evaluation result after using mathematicscomic media, the percentage value gains 90% at both schools.(2) The use of Mathematicscomic media gets very good response from the userswhich consist of student and teacher. It is showed on the percentage results of students' responsequestionnaire which gain 97% at SDN Torongrejo 01 Batu and 96% at SDN Sumbersari 1 Malang.Another user questionnaire results are gathered from teachers with the percentage of 92% at SDN Torongrejo 01 Batu and 95% at SDN Sumbersari 1 Malang. Based on the results of this research, mathematics comic media is suggested to be used in learning mathematics on debit material for grade V students of Elementary School in order to help students and teachers to achieve the learning objectives and create an interesting mathematics learning
