2018-04-09In 2013, a large school district banned suspensions as a consequence to disruption and defiance. As a result, schools were required to develop a five-year plan to implement Restorative Justice as an alternative to suspensions. Although Restorative Justice has its root in ancient societies, no comprehensive curriculum is publically available to train teachers in this practice. The purpose of this curriculum is to ensure that teachers working in small high school settings can successfully use Restorative Practices.
