The structure was never officially named by the Board of Trustees, but was referred to as "the farm house". Records show it was probably called by the name of occupants. Occupants included R. H. Thomas, D. A. Crowner, H. A. Wheeler, and Charles C. Thorne. The structure was also known as the Farm Residence and the Gardener's Residence
