Tato práce zkoumá šíření elastických, a především povrchových vln jak anizotropním, tak nehomogenním prostředím. Zaměřuje se na využití numerických simulací a laser-ultrazvukové metody. V práci je také diskutována možnost numerického i experimentálního určení frekvenční disperze povrchových vln v systému vrstva-substrát a využítí této disperze pro charakterizaci tenkých vrstev. V první části popisující průchod anizotropním prostředím je představena Ritzova-Rayleighova numerická metoda pro určení rychlosti šíření povrchových vln. Potenciál této metody v kombinaci s metodou I STS je demonstrována na případu charakterizace tenké vrstvy slitiny s tvarovou pamětí v průběhu tepelného namáhání a fázových transformacích.
