The head of a large Archaic terracotta statue acquired by the Musée de Toulouse fits by type, style and manufacturing technique into the series of sculptures found in 1890 by the British expedition at Salamis (Toumba). The painted decoration revealed by restoration confirms its relationship not only to the statues themselves (e.g. decoration of tunics) but also to pottery decorated in the "style fleuri " (floral style) which typifies the products of the Salamis workshops in the Cypro-Archaic period (Bichrome IV and V classes). This leads to some thoughts on the operations of the craftsmen and the organisation of the workshops.Yon Marguerite. Peintres, potiers et coroplathes à Salamine.
