Due to bious foreign testimonies and because those concerned left but very few explicit records, wide gaps remain in our knowledge of Punic religion. Trying to better it, this study purposes to take advantage of Carthage's tophet and thus use all the resources of iconology relying on the theoriticians of this science. It endeavours to define all the processes used in the decoration of stelae, find out automatisms and draw from this analysis reading codes to be applied to some kinds of pictures.
