This note presents the main ideas of a study by É. Gaziaux devoted to an essential question in basic moral theology : the compatibility between the ethics of faith rooted in what is given in divine revelation (Ph. Delhaye) and an autonomous System of morals elaborated on the basis of age-old wisdom (J. Fuchs). By showing the complementarity of the two points of view, the author makes an important contribution towards an adequate presentation of Christian ethics in a pluralist society.Wattiaux Henri. Autonomie et théonomie. Un parcours de morale fondamentale. In: Revue théologique de Louvain, 27ᵉ année, fasc. 1, 1996. pp. 85-87
