A research program sponsored by the C.N.R.S. has considerably improved our knowledge of the rural environment in the Gallo-Roman period. For the 770 sites located at présent in the area of the Coriosolitae, their characterization and their surroundings let us understand better this rural world and have an idea of the occupation densities and of the agricultural activities.
