<p>This is a recording of the story about Kukufia, the short man. It is a well-known story amongst the people of Rouku village, Western Province, Papua New Guinea. The story was told by Abia Bai.</p> <p>The dataset includes:</p> <ul> <li>the audio file (.wav)</li> <li>a scan of the first hand written transcription (.pdf)</li> <li>the interlinearised transcription file (.eaf)</li> </ul> <p>The material was recorded by Christian Döhler as part of a language documentation project for his PhD. The project was located at the School of Culture, History and Language at the Australian National University, Canberra (http://chl.anu.edu.au/). For the most part it was funded by the DOBES project of the VW Stiftung (http://dobes.mpi.nl/).
