The grotte de l'Ane («Cave of the Donkey ») at Oncieu (Bugey, Ain) and its paleontological remains, with special regard to the cave bear : Ursus spelaeus Rosenmiiller and Heinroth (Mammalia, Carnivora, Ursidae). Because of its small size, the Grotte de l'Ane («Cave of the Donkey») is considered as a minor cave among some 2 000 caves known in the Ain department. Its interest lies in the archeological and paleontological remains discovered in the first half of this century.
