"Allgemeine israelitische Wochenschrift" ("universal Jewish weekly paper," known from 1892 to 1895 as "Jeschurun," and after 1899 as "Israelitische Wochenschrift" ("Jewish weekly paper")) was described as a liberal Jewish newspaper.
