Cholesterol profile of wild type and FXR-KO mice fed the control or high fat-containing diet.

<p>Serum and liver lipids were isolated from WT and FXR-KO mice treated with vehicle or high fat-containing diet (HFD) for 16 weeks. Serum total cholesterol (<b>A</b>), serum HDL and LDL/VLDL cholesterol (<b>B</b>), as well as liver total cholesterol (<b>C</b>) were measured as described in the <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0035895#s4" target="_blank">Methods</a>. n = 5–7 mice per group. An asterisk means P<0.05 between WT and FXR-KO vehicle group. A pound indicates P<0.05 between WT and FXR-KO HFD group.
