<p>Motility in soft tryptone agar for strains containing a Δ<i>flhB</i> null mutation, or the Δ<i>flhB</i> mutation with suppressor mutations in the <i>flhA</i> gene, and complemented with plasmid expressing a BacSalFlhB chimera. The chimera was made of the trans-membrane domain from <i>B. subtilis</i> FlhB fused to the cytoplasmic domain from <i>S. typhimurium</i> FlhB. The Δ<i>flhB</i> mutant containing empty plasmid vector was inoculated as a negative control. The soft tryptone agar plate was incubated for 20 hours at 30°C.</p
