<p>(A) Invasive migration of parental (Tif) and control vector (Tif pLHCX) orRacGEF expressing immortalised human fibroblasts into Matrigel plugs was determined by inverted invasion assay. Serial optical sections of Calcein-AM stained invasive cells were captured at 15 µm intervals by confocal microscopy and depicted as a montage of successive sections at increasing depth from left to right, as indicated. Invasive migration was quantified by measurement of fluorescence intensity of cells penetrating the matrix to a depth of 45 µm and beyond, and expressed as a percentage of the total fluorescence intensity of all cells within the assay.
