The work presented deals with the transport of radio-nuclides insoil. Following an overall description of the problem of radio-nuclide transport, a new migration model is developed by which the time and space dependency of the radio-nuclide concentration profile in a ground water layer can be calculated. In the second part of the work various release paths from an underground reactor plant are examined with the help of this model. The soil surrounding the reactor building acts as an extra safety barrier and reduces the effects from hypothetical accidents occuring within the plant.
