Each image is a 2-D projection from four consecutive layers in a confocal image stack, taken 0.5 μm apart. Scale bar = 20 μm. Top two rows show polarized SCG neurons with one axon. Bottom row shows a single SCG neuron with two axons emanating from opposite sides of the cell body.</p
