Strategi Guru dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan pada Anak di Tk Gemilang Pontianak Kota

This study aimed to describe the planning, implementation, approach and evaluation of teacher\u27s in improving the beginning of reading skills at TK Gemilang Pontianak Kota. This study used a descriptive research method with qualitative approach. Result of data analysis showed that the planning is done well enough by teachers, teachers prepare RKH one day before study, to prepare the classroom and media according to the themes that will be studied. It is seen that only once the teacher invites the childrens to remember the learning activities on the previous day, did apperception and inform the theme of the day. Even at the implementation of learning the teachers more dominant uses a blackboard and book task than using other media. Teacher does not use centered approach in children, only to exchange the child sitting every two weeks. Then at the time of the evaluation, the teacher only seeb a few times do question and answer on children of what activities is already done in one day learning and teacher never inform the child about next day learning activities
