<p>Experimental design of the second experiment: half of the participants first performed 16 drop jumps (DJ) without prior conditioning hops (CON) and then 16 DJs with 10 conditioning hops before each DJ (HOP), whereas the other half performed the two blocks of 16 DJs in the reverse order. Trials with peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) evoking V-waves were always conducted after the trials without PNS. The time to complete each block of eight DJs was always seven minutes, as the time between two DJs was always one minute, with or without prior hops.</p
