Effects of curcumin and emodin on EMT markers, downstream effectors of TGF-β signaling and Bax-Bcl-2.

<p>Total cell lysate of HeLa cells treated with curcumin or emodin, in presence or absence of TGF-β for 48h was subjected to immunoblotting with CyclinD1, p21, Pin1, β-Actin (A); p15, p16, CDK6, p27, β-Actin (B); Bcl-2, Bax, β-Actin antibodies, lower panel Bax: Bcl-2 densitometric analysis of the western blot (C) and Snail, N-cadherin, Slug, β-Actin (D). A representative blot is shown and the values shown represent densitometric analysis of the protein band with respect to β-Actin and similar results were confirmed in another independent experiment.
