<p>This experiment was conducted in the grassland at York University on September 30th, to measure the population density of insects in the mowed and un-mowed grassland. A total of 10 replicates was collected, in which 5 was collected in the mowed area and 5 was collected in the tall grass area. This was done by placing the transect measuring tape at random for a distance of 30 meters on the ground. Once the tape was placed, a sweeping net was used while walking along the tape for a period of 2 minutes. After every 10 sweeps we observed what kind of insects were caught in the net and recorded the findings. This was repeated for a total of 10 trials</p
