Ptac2S induces p53 in MPM cells.

<p><b>(A)</b> Cytosolic proteins were obtained from ZL34 or ZL55 cells, treated or not with 5 μM Ptac2S. Immunoblotting was performed using monoclonal antibodies specific to p53, Bax and Bcl2. Sequential incubation with anti-β-actin confirmed the equal protein loading. These figures are representative of six independent experiments. <b>(B-D)</b> Cells, pre-treated or not with 30 μM PFT-α, were treated or not with 5 μM Ptac2S for different times and then RNA was extracted. RNA was reverse-transcribed and analysed by real-time PCR, with specific primers for p53 (<b>B</b>), BAX (<b>C</b>) and Bcl-2 (<b>D</b>) and for the housekeeping gene β-actin. mRNA levels were presented as fold change values relative to control.
