The article deals with the palatalized aspirated component h (< dh, th) influence on the developments of the clusters dj, tj in Common Slavic. It also considers some causes that affect special clusters’ reflexes in the Slavic languages, for instance, Ukrainian. The data represent each of the proto-Slavic groups (East, West and South). Attention is also paid to the chronology and historical background of this phenomenon.
