Hubungan Pengetahuan Tentang Diit dan Aktivitas Fisik Dengan Kadar Gula Darah Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe II di Puskesmas Purwosari

Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that increasingly years has risen steadily. According to International Diabetes Federation, Indonesia was ranked seven of the world as the most desease that affects many. There some kinds of treatment that can be done to controll blood sugar levels. Blood sugar can be controlled by providing education, set up a healthy eating, increase physical activity, and pharmacological treatment. The aim of this research is to know the correlation of the level of knowledge about diit and physical activity with blood sugar levels patient diabetes mellitus type II in Puskesmas Purwosari. This research is quantitative research, the research design used is descriptive correlative. This research was conducted in Puskesmas Purwosari in April 2017. The research sample of 34 respondents with sampling technique used purposive sampling. The instrument used the level of knowledge about diit questionnaire and physical activity questionnaire (IPAQ). Data processing techniques in this research using Spearman Rho test. Result of research of knowledge about diit showing that p value 0,005 < 0,05 with r value = 0,468 so the value of correlation power is moderate. The result of physical activity showing that p value 0,001 < 0,05 with r value = 0,565 so the value of correlation power is moderate. The conclusion of this research is there’s correlation of the knowledge about diit and physical activity with blood sugar levels patient diabetes melitus type II in Puskesmas Purwosari. Based on the result of research is expected to community and patients diabetes melitus type II for pay more attention and maintain health and have active phisical activity to keep the body’s metabolism and avoid the disease especially diabetes mellitus.
