The essay demonstrates the international aspects of trademarks with examining the international legal institutions of industrial property law. The starting point is the traditionally international sphere of intellectual property law. This international aspect is mainly true for the legal regulation of trademarks. First the author presents the general rules in Paris Convention, after this he establishes the connection with other universal trademark treaties such as the Madrid Registration of Marks Treaty, the Madrid Protocol and the Lisbon Arrangement.
