In collaboration with the University of Reading, the International Livestock Centre for Africa (ILCA) has published a manual on livestock health management. It is designed to provide planners and specialists in the field of animal health with knowledge and techniques for adequate management. The first part deals with epidemiology and the second introduces project evaluation and the use of statistics in planning. The manual also provides methods for estimating the costs of diseases and their control for use in the decision-making process. Putt, S N.H, et al., 1986.
