Persepsi, Sikap dan Perilaku Masyarakat Tentang Pemanfaatan Pelayanan Kehamilan dan Persalinan di Baduy

Background: This research explain investigated the correlation between utilization birth attendant and knowledge, attitude and practice among Baduy tribe. The objectives of this study were to measure mothers have been children's knowledge and perception regarding pregnancy and delivery cares include father's knowledge and perception. This was non-intervention and cross sectional. The research was conducted among outer Baduy tribe. Methods: The Sample of the research was family whom the member had been giving birth between 2004 until 2006. The data collected using questionnaire and analyzed using spss program. The research showed that birth attendant still dominated be predominated by traditional birth attendant 93.3% than 6.7% by midwife (health worker). The research showed in the lower level knowledge of pregnancy health services the husbands (55.4%) have higher than his wives (45%). Results: Have important implication in giving contribution to the District health Authority to socialized the save delivery and after delivery care in the Baduy tribe. The result would also give input about the importance of giving assistance to traditional health attendant in safe delivery process among Baduy tribe
