dunning_Dunning_ A particular methos of curing Codfish, produced off the Coast of New Hampshire, in North America. It is thus described - : "The Cod are taken in deep water split and stack salted; then laid in a pile for two or three months, in a dark sotre, covered for the greatest part of the time with salt hay or eel-grass, and pressed with some weight.
