This thesis describes the bioanalysis and pharmacokinetics of the S(-) enantiomer (N-0923) of the selective and potent dopamine D2 agonist 2-(N-propyl-N-2-thienylethyl-amino)-5-hydroxytetralin, N-0437 which has possible applications in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. The R(+) enantiomer (N-0924) displays partial agonistic activity, and may have potential antipsychotic activity.
